This is my favorite boba place for black sugar drinks and grass jelly. Whenever I crave it, I always end up wanting to go here despite living 15 mins away (haha). They have so much drinks to offer and they also have great food. One of the better popcorn chicken around and also, try their chop pork over rice it's so good! If you want both, I think they have the meal.
They've made ordering easy now and you can even order ahead.
Also, they don't charge for no ice like some places do, which is great for me since I like taking home a drink for later.
Overall, this place won't disappoint. I've been going here since 2018 and their drinks still have the same high quality taste as 5 years ago! (I think I still have an old stamp card somewhere that I never got to redeem 😂)
Came in on a week night in need of a quick order for drinks and popcorn chicken. Ordering was easy, because we can use the touch pad. There's a wide selection of drinks that you can customize, which is great. The sitting area was comfortable, with a TV to watch fun shows. Each drink was made with fine ingredients and neatly packaged. :The order was ready so fast, which was impressive, since I ordered 2 boxes of chicken and 5 drinks. This would normally take 20-25 minutes in other stores, but they only took about 8 minutes here. If you're in need of a quick drink and snack, this is the place to go!
I had the popcorn chicken bento and a mango green tea with lychee bits. The drink is a 10/10, the food was a 9/10 because it would have been nice to have more sauce choices than just chili powder. But even without extra sauce the popcorn chicken is fried to sweet and salty delight. What a quick and yummy option. I think it was all ready in 10 minutes.
My friends and I enjoy the drinks here because tea and boba are prepared using the traditional brewing method. Whenever I am in town, I order boba from the Enthusiast's Pick and House Specials menus and I have always been happy with the taste and quality of the drinks.
I was delighted by the satisfyingly crunchy and flavorful popcorn chicken. The minced pork rice, true to its reputation, was equally delightful and delicious.
I finally tried their popular popcorn chicken bento and yes it was delicious 😋 yum yum! Wanted to get the avocado smoothie but out of stock so got dry bean curd for hubby instead. He liked it. I've been to Tea Era Cupertino for more than 9 years. The quality of food and drinks are always great and consistently. I love their boba which is just chewy enough, sweet but not overly so. My favorite is Ceylon milk tea 50% sweet (I usually order 25% sweet elsewhere)and less ice and pork belly rice bento. I find the quality stays good even with door dash delivery.
I usually get the stewed pork over rice dish, or the simmered pork over dry noodle. Both are delicious, and my son loves them as his school lunch. Definitely recommend their Taiwanese style eats!
